Another Story of a New Hotel??

I think that it will be few years as they will need to upgrade the infrastrure of the island to accomodate this hotel. They can barely keep up with demand now. Think positive it may end up being a plus as the other hotels may upgrade their facilities as well.

ça va sentir le "sausage party" dans l'animation et les spectacles...

Nous disions souvent qu`il ne faudrait pas que Cuba tombe sous les mains des américains, le développement serait épouvantable, et bien Cuba est en train de faire ce qu’on redoutait le plus des Américains, du développement sans trop de préservations des grands espaces.
J`ai su lors de mon dernier voyage à CSM que les trois îlots ou il peuvent construire, d`ici quelques années auras une possibilité de 12.000 chambres présentement il en compte 3.800 avec le futur Barcelo. ouch! cayo largo vas tu subir la même chirurgie à coeur ouvert. [-o<

Cuba announces new hotels opening

Habaguanex Hotels made known the opening of the Marques de Prado Ameno Hotel in Old Havana. This boutique hotel is located in the heart of Old Havana near to The Cathedral Square and Plaza de Armas Square. Its name comes from a very prominent and influential family who lived in this colonial mansion in the 19th century. It is a four star hotel with 16 rooms (including 3 suites) and it's decorated with restored mural paintings from 18th and 19th century.

Another 30 Hotels are in the plans with Investors from Spain and China from now through 2010. Ten of these hotels will be in Havana and the rest in the cayos and eastern part of the country. Similar plans to build golf courses, marinas and theme parks are also underway.
