Last day of the vacation and late flight

Now the Sunwing has really awful schedule (from Toronto). Arrivals to CL on Friday 8pm. Not ideal, but we have what we have...
The departure is on Friday 11pm of the last day....
No late check out would cover that.
Courtesy room for shower is good, but still - 11 pm. It is about 8 hours being homeless.
The reasonable option I think is to buy an extra day in the hotel. I know on mainland, this can be done through Cubana rep for about 40% cost comparing to front desk. But do they even have Cubana at Cayo Largo after Sunwing takeover?
Anyone has experience negotiating an extra day at Cayo Largo?
