the translation of "ground" is the Sol Club resort.
We were there Dec 2002 and are going back on the this month We stayed at Sol then and will be there in a week and a bit. We thought of Barchello because of price but the lack of beach turned us off. Its too far to walk and we didn't want to have to use on "the train" to the beaches.
No problems with English. The people there are great.

I have noticed that you will be at Cayo Largo the same week we are.
We are a group of about 15 couples going the week of February 19th, staying at the Barcelo. Among us are some from our area (Near Ottawa) and some do speak English very well. Others are from other areas of Quebec.
J.C. (The hotel manager) believes the beach will be back when we go (in February) but I am a skeptical person of nature. I have asked our group members if they wish to change hotel and all the answers I received so far were that having the beach right at the hotel was not of prime importance so it looks like we will be a fun group at the Barcelo! (But still waiting for a few more answers)

Effectivement, nous ne sommes revenus que ce week-end. Toutefois, nous nous sommes fait des amis que nous avons conduits à l'aéroport le samedi de ton départ. J'ai bien regardé parmi la foule pour te trouver mais je ne me souvenais pas bien de la photo que tu m'avais envoyée (pourtant, j'ai une bonne mémoire photographique, mais j'ai tellement décroché à CL qu'elle ne fonctionnait qu'à moitié!

Situation de palapas
Nous sommes de retour depuis le 11 déc. Nous étions au Sol, nous arrivions vers 10:30 (le matin) et nous n'avons pas eu aucun problème avec le palapas de la section ouest du sol ( les derniers vers l'ouest).
Pour se qui est des bracelets, j'ai posé la question et on m'a répondu qu certain europen qui utilise cubatour venu pour quelques jours conservent leurs bracelets car ils repartent de l'ile de cuba
